Since 2002, the Hospitality Law Conference – hosted by HospitalityLawyer.com – has offered attendees the opportunity to participate in an unprecedented conversation about the challenges faced by the hotel and restaurant communities.
To kick off this year’s event, the Owner-Management Summit and Hospitality Insurance and Loss Prevention Summit will offer participants an opportunity to explore dynamics and major challenges among hotel owners, operators, managers and developers, and also to examine workers' compensation and frequent claims in hospitality from the perspectives of the risk manager and insurance provider.
Clifford J. Risman, a partner at Gardere and chair of the Firm’s Hospitality Industry Team, will be a panelist for the “Putting a Mixed-Use Deal Together, Including Entertainment, Restaurants and Retail” panel from 1-2 p.m. on Feb. 9. He will also host a roundtable that same day on “Legal Aspects Surrounding Mixed Use Developments” from 2-3 p.m.
Private peer discussions between hotel and restaurant corporate counsel will be held throughout the day.
On the second day of the conference, attendees have access to three main tracks: Food and Beverage, Lodging, and Labor and Employment. Through plenary sessions and small-group roundtable discussions, industry experts will cover issues and solutions in each of these areas. Sessions include "Anatomy of a Hospitality Data Breach" and "Financial Side of the Restaurant Industry."
The conference concludes with a review of the Top 100 Hospitality Cases in 2015 and a 360 Degree Legal View of a Hospitality Catastrophe. This conference offers CPE, CHTP, CLE, ARPM, CPDM and CCMP credits.
