Bankruptcy in the Midstream Sector

Partner John P. Melko, chair of the Firm’s financial restructuring and reorganization practice, will present on the “Bankruptcy in the Midstream Sector” panel discussion at the 15th Annual Gas and Power Institute in Houston.

The panel will discuss bankruptcy issues affecting midstream companies from the perspectives of the midstream company, the oil and gas producer and customer, and other interested parties. Attendees will learn about possible transaction structures between producers and midstream companies, as well as contracting issues, as they work together to avoid bankruptcy and strengthen their respective positions in the event of a bankruptcy filing by the other party.
