Foley Partner Nathaniel Lacktman, Chair of the firm’s national Telemedicine & Digital Health Industry Team, will be a speaker at the 2018 DHIT Summit in Raliegh, North Carolina on November 14, 2018. His presentation is titled, “Building Healthy Communities through Digital Health.”
Engagement initiatives in healthcare have largely been a failure when it comes to involving individuals in their plan of care or motivating them to make healthier lifestyle choices. We will discuss what some of the barriers are to achieving meaningful engagement and how Digital Health technologies can best be used to activate people to take control of their health. Using analogous thinking, the Engagement workshop will explore lessons to be learned from other consumer-centric industries and how data (including social determinants of health) can be leveraged to create motivation.
Mr. Lacktman will be joined by an expert panel including:
- Andre Blackman, Founder and CEO, Onboard Health
- Aaron Sheedy, Founder & COO, Xealth
- Alisahah Cole, MD, VP and System Medical Director of Community Health, Atrium Health
- Jen Zuckerman, Director of Strategic Initiatives, Duke University’s World Food Policy Center
- Patrick Mobley, Market President, Evolent Health
The 2018 DHIT Summit will convene internationally recognized thought leaders and key stakeholders from the healthcare ecosystem to dig deep into how Digital Health can pervasively be used to transform health. This event is uniquely designed to focus on demand blueprinting (not solutioning) and include post-event collaboration with the goal of creating a working model of care that will bring the future of health into real-world settings to produce measureable impact. Expert panels and workshops will focus on three key transformative topics through the lens of Digital Health, including Building Healthy Communities, Health Engagement, and Precision Health.
