Healthcare providers are facing a confusing landscape these days as they try to chart reimbursement opportunities for telehealth programs. Federal programs like Medicare come with many requirements and restrictions, while each state has its own rules for Medicaid and private payer coverage. But on both federal and state levels, the tide is turning toward more and better coverage.
In this webinar, Thomas (T.J.) Ferrante, Senior Counsel and Health Care attorney for the national law firm of Foley & Lardner, LLP and a member of the firm’s Telehealth and Digital Health Industry Team, will take a closer look at that landscape. He’ll first outline recent moves by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services to make Medicare more amenable to telehealth and mHealth, then discuss how some states are approaching Medicaid and private payer coverage – both good and bad. He’ll then wrap up the session with a look at the future for hospital and health systems seeking to move into or expand their presence in connected health.
