There are many misconceptions regarding AI and patents, such as “AI is not worth pursuing protection because software is unpatentable” and “it’s always better to keep AI as a trade secret.”
Foley Partner Paul Hunter will moderate a virtual panel on Thursday, October 7, 2021 entitled, “Developing a Patent Portfolio for AI Technologies.” Panelists will dispel some of these misconceptions, and provide general guidance and principles to consider as attorneys seek to help their companies develop meaningful AI patent portfolios. Paul will be joined by fellow panelists Amol Purohit with Chime; Stephen Myers with People.ai; and Alison Jimerson with Philips.
