James F. Ewing was a partner and intellectual property lawyer with Foley & Lardner LLP. Dr. Ewing primarily advised pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and nutraceutical clients. In the pharmaceutical and biotechnology sectors, Dr. Ewing worked with companies engaged in drug discovery to develop and produce peptide and small molecule therapeutics, encompassing such technologies as computationally assisted drug design, immunology and vaccine technologies, stem cell technologies, neurobiology, drug delivery, gene therapy technologies, nanobiology technologies and biomedical devices. Dr. Ewing was the former vice chair of the firm’s Chemical, Biotechnology & Pharmaceutical Practice and was a member of the Life Sciences, Food & Beverage, and Technology Industry Teams.
