Of Counsel Mark Neuberger and Associate Larry Perlman stated that management at companies covered by the Vietnam Era Veterans Readjustment Assistance Act are expected to become familiar with proposed regulations that will require them to set goals and timetables for hiring veterans. The authors added that income tax credits made available to companies that hire unemployed veterans can potentially benefit employers who stay up-to-date on their legal obligations to veterans.
