Special Counsel Debra Smietanski contributed an article to Financial Advisor, “Estate and Gift Tax-Saving Opportunities,” on January 25, 2016. The article discussed several facets of estate planning including, the federal gift and estate tax exemption, the unlimited marital deduction and annual tax-free gifts. Smietanski provided insights on how each of these opportunities can be used to assist in estate planning.
