Foley is proud to be a long-time member of the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity (LCLD). Our partnership with LCLD is a key aspect of our efforts to make strides on our own diversity, equity, and inclusion journey.
Each year, as an LCLD member, we select rising stars from the senior counsel and associate ranks to participate in LCLD’s Fellows and Pathfinders programs. The programs are aimed and developing the next generation of diverse leaders in the legal profession.
We recently asked our 2022 participants what they most look forward to from this experience.
Senior Counsel Jolene Fernandes, selected as a 2022 LCLD Fellow, says she wants to “proactively expand my professional network and elevate my brand as a top-notch IP attorney and counselor in the life sciences.” The Fellows Program is an intensive, yearlong professional development program that connects high-potential attorneys with leading general counsel and managing partners.
Associates Mikle Jew and Aude Peden were selected for the 2022 LCLD Pathfinder Program, which provides practical tools for developing and leveraging professional networks, leadership skills, and career development strategies.
Jew is thrilled to have been selected to represent Foley in this program and looks forward to “networking with the legal industry’s up-and-coming diversity leaders and contributing to LCLD’s efforts to promote diversity in our profession.”
“I am grateful for the opportunity to participate in this rewarding professional impact program,” Peden says. “I hope my participation in the LCLD program will increase my exposure within and outside the firm.”
