Vernaglia Quoted on Stark Law

Foley Partner Lawrence Vernaglia was quoted in an article titled “Stricter self-referral rules may end some physician contracts with hospitals” in the September 28, 2009 issue of American Medical News. Vernaglia discusses sweeping changes to the federal Stark law, noting that the changes make it more difficult for physicians and other entities providing designated health services to do joint ventures around hospital services.
