The Houston Chronicle provided special coverage of the 16th Annual Gardere MLK Jr. Oratory Competition in Houston on Jan. 13 at Antioch Missionary Baptist Church. The competition began with 244 fourth- and fifth-graders from 23 Houston ISD elementary schools. Twelve students competed at the finals.
