Center for U.S. and Mexican Law Appoints Partner Charlie Meacham to Advisory Board
Houston Partner Charles E. Meacham, an integral member of the Firm's Mexico and Latin America practice, was recently appointed to serve on the advisory board of the Center for U.S. and Mexican Law at the University of Houston Law Center. The Center for U.S. and Mexican Law is the first research center in any U.S. law school devoted to the independent, critical study of Mexican law and legal aspects of U.S.–Mexico relations.
The center's research programs are directed toward increasing the understanding of Mexican laws and legal institutions in the U.S., and of U.S. laws and legal institutions in Mexico. The center also sponsors activities to promote professional cooperation and comparative legal education in North America, through a partnership with the North American Consortium on Legal Education.
