Mason Highlights Why Local Firms Should Consider Chicago Law Firms for Technology Issues
27 April 2013
Chicago Daily Law Bulletin
Senior Counsel Galen R. Mason was quoted in an April 27, 2013 Chicago Daily Law Bulletin article titled, “Why startups should consider the Windy City for legal advice.” In the article, Chicago attorneys highlight the reasons start-ups should consider Chicago’s legal minds, rather than automatically heading to the traditional “tech hot spots” of Silicon Valley, D.C., or Boston. Galen notes that Chicago’s tech space provides the opportunity to “re-learn, and in many ways redesign, what’s wrong with the law, or at least big law.” He also notes that Foley has the national resources, including a former Silicon Valley attorney in Chicago and offices in California and Boston, an institutional knowledge to draw on for Chicago clients.
