Partner Patrick Quick was quoted in an article that appeared in the Corporate Secretary on April 5, 2013 titled “SEC clears disclosures on social media.” Quick discussed the Securities and Exchange Commission’s 2013 report that clears the way for companies to use social media outlets to announce key compliance information. Quick states the report does not radically deviate from a similar report issued by the SEC in 2008 and predicts that many companies will remain reticent to embrace social media as a medium to communicate with investors.
