Partner Jonathan Moskin was quoted in a Corporate Counsel article on February 12, 2014 titled, “Starbucks Plays it Smart with ‘Dumb Starbucks’ TM.” The article discusses statements made by Starbucks Corp. about its protected trademark, saying the company ‘Dumb Starbucks’ could not legally use the name. Moskin was quoted saying, “These are usually lose-lose propositions for brand owners.”
