Partner Kim Yelkin Discusses "Managing Perceptions: When Women Network with Men" at InsideCounsel Conference

InsideCounsel Magazine featured its recent Women, Influence and Power in Law Conference panel discussion "Managing Perceptions: When Women Network with Men," which included Gardere Austin Office Executive Partner Kimberly A. Yelkin. The panel discussion was focused on ways to avoid uncomfortable situations and minimize the gossip in the workplace.
According to the article, as more women climb the ranks, there will be a greater number of opportunities for women to network with more women, which should minimize the opportunities for gossip. "I'm seeing a change, but not as much as I would like," Ms. Yelkin said. "Women have an obligation to help other women. You can't just pull the ladder up behind you."
