Partner Lawrence Vernaglia was quoted in a Boston Globe article, “Doctors Group Seeking Better Ways to Interact with Patients,” on April 27, 2015. The article discussed a new “innovation center” developed by Atrius Health that is designed to change health care delivery by using payment models that demand better physician performance. Vernaglia said it makes sense to look at new ways to deliver care, because a large portion of Atrius patients belong to health plans that reward organizations for keeping patients healthy and penalize them if patients require expensive medical services.
