Florida Governor Rick Scott appointed Foley attorney Daniel Diaz Leyva to the District Board of Trustees of Miami Dade College, one of the largest and most diverse public institutions of higher education in the United States. As one of seven board members, Diaz Leyva will contribute to the governing and administration of MDC.
Diaz Leyva focuses his practice on real estate, business and finance. He has held various leadership positions on Boards such as the CHARLEE Homes for Children, Banyan Health Systems, Hispanic Business Initiative Fund and the Latin Builders Association. He has been recognized for his contributions to the community by several organizations including The Miami Foundation which honored him with their Ruth Shack Leadership Award given annually to an emerging leader who embodies the qualities of ethical leadership, dedication and service to Greater Miami.
