Texas Lawyer spoke with Gardere Chair Holland N. O’Neil about the Firm’s 2015 fiscal year performance, which ended March 31. The publication discussed the Firm’s $149 million in gross revenue, an increase of 4.2 percent from 2014, attributed to a strong performance from the energy practice, which had a successful year despite falling oil prices, as well as a steady performance from the real estate, hospitality and bankruptcy practice groups. Texas Lawyer also highlighted the Firm’s corporate and M&A sections, which closed 54 deals worth more than $3.3 billion.
“It’s a testament to the quality work and higher billable hours with the same number of lawyers — we're busy across the board,” Gardere Chair Holland N. O’Neil said about the Firm’s performance. “I don't know if it's just a good time to be at Gardere or a middle market firm. We had an excellent year.”
The publication also mentioned Gardere’s newest office in Denver, which opened in January. The new location enables the Firm to expand its national footprint by enhancing its global supply chain expertise.
