Fred Sultan Honored with Austin LGBT Bar Association Award of Excellence

Gardere litigation attorney Frederick W. Sultan IV was honored with the Austin LGBT Bar Association’s Award of Excellence at the organization’s third annual scholarship fundraiser and awards gala, Sculpting the Future, Oct. 18. Sultan was recognized for his leadership roles within the organization, having served as vice chair from 2014-15 and chair from 2015-16. Sultan also appeared on the Oct. 2017 cover of Texas Lawyer to discuss LGBT issues and advocacy within the legal community.    

The annual gala raises money to provide scholarships to two law students at Texas law schools with demonstrated commitments to the LGBT community or LGBT legal issues.

Sultan, a member of the firm’s litigation practice group, helps individuals and businesses throughout Texas and the U.S. with commercial litigation and appeals involving a broad range of business disputes, including employment, contract, business tort and trade secret-related claims.
