Young, Piltch Named Pathfinders of Leadership Council on Legal Diversity
15 March 2018
Foley & Lardner LLP has chosen Senior Counsel Torrey Young and Associate Jaclyn Piltch to be members of the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity’s 2018 class of Pathfinders, a program that trains early-career attorneys in critical career development strategies including leadership and building professional networks.
According to LCLD President Robert J. Grey, Jr., the LCLD Pathfinder Program offers participants “intensive in-person training, online experiential learning and opportunities to network with peers and esteemed LCLD Fellows in small group gatherings.”
Young is dedicated to building her leadership skills and advocates for diversity in the legal industry and Boston business community. She is a graduate of the Women’s Bar Association of Massachusetts’s Leadership Institute and a current member of Tomorrow’s Women Today, a Boston women’s leadership council. She also serves on the Boston Bar Association’s Health Law Education Committee.
Also committed to increasing her leadership skills and advocating for diversity in the legal industry, Piltch currently serves on the board of Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law’s Boston Law Alumni Club and is a member of the Women’s Bar Association of Massachusetts. She also strives for equality and justice in the Boston community, where she is committed to her ongoing pro bono work that includes representing families on immigration and housing matters.
Founded in 2009, LCLD is a growing organization of more than 285 corporate chief legal officers and law firm managing partners who are personally committed to creating a truly diverse legal profession. The LCLD Pathfinder Program is now in its third year as a full-scale program, having been piloted in 2015 among a select number of LCLD Member law firms and corporations. It is an initiative that has filled a gap in LCLD programming, targeting junior associates and the youngest members of corporate law departments.
