Lacktman Discusses Telemedicine Reimbursement for Small, Solo Practices
13 April 2018
Partner Nate Lacktman was quoted in an mHealthIntelligence article, “Picking the Right Telehealth Platform for a Small or Solo Practice,” about reimbursement for telemedicine services. mHealthIntelligence reports that reimbursement options vary and Medicare and Medicaid’s respective guidelines are generally restrictive, but private payers and health plans may offer more relaxed options.
“There’s been some deliberate efforts to align with payers and embrace cooperation on coverage and reimbursement,” said Lacktman. “We’re noticeably moving toward that now. Too many sit back on their heels and say ‘We’re not getting reimbursed,’ but by communicating with commercial payers, they have a chance to align their visions.”
