Partner Nate Lacktman was quoted in a CNBC article, “How men’s health start-ups are turning erectile dysfunction and hair loss treatment into a booming business,” about an emerging class of start-ups that blend traditional e-commerce, subscription services and health care to provide customers with the products they need while avoiding undesirable trips to a doctor.
Lacktman, who chairs the firm’s national Telemedicine & Digital Health Industry Team, said the companies are not only taking advantage of a friendlier regulatory environment, but are also getting smarter about making sure that remote treatment is appropriate for the specific conditions they’re targeting, so they’re not perceived as a “pill mill.”
