Mark Wolfson Recognized for Outstanding Pro Bono Service
Foley Partner and Tampa Office Pro Bono Chair Mark Wolfson was honored with the 2022 Florida Bar President’s Pro Bono Service Award for the 13th Judicial Circuit (Hillsborough County). This award is given to an outstanding attorney for each of the state’s 20 judicial circuits – those who have freely given their time and expertise to ensure access to justice for those who otherwise could not afford it.
Wolfson was nominated by the Bay Area Legal Services’ Volunteer Lawyers Program (VLP), with whom he has volunteered for over 25 years. During that time, he donated more than 500 hours of service to VLP, handling in excess of 30 pro bono matters. While Wolfson has worked on a variety of cases for VLP clients, he has a particular passion and acumen for guardianship and guardian advocacy matters. Together with Senior Associate Jackie Acosta and Legal Assistant Christy Rowell, he has continually stepped up to help indigent clients and serve the needs of children and families referred by VLP. In addition, Wolfson currently sits on VLP’s Intake Clinic panel and serves as a mentor to their other attorney volunteers.
Outside of his work with VLP, Wolfson performs countless hours of pro bono work and has been honored throughout his career for his dedication to pro bono and community service.
