Foley & Lardner LLP Partner Morgan Tilleman is quoted in an Insurance Business article, “Life insurance – the uncertain private equity future,” which discusses how private equity investment in life insurance has rapidly grown and the potential impact rising interest rates may have on the overall industry.
Tilleman shared that across life insurance, not just for businesses tied to private equity or courting private capital, interest rate increases are “bound to shake things up.” He added, “It’s been very productive for the industry to be able to access private capital, and there’s just so much of it, and it’s such a significant part of the overall capital markets”.
