Foley & Lardner LLP partner Aaron Tantleff is quoted in the Cybersecurity Dive article, “For the SEC, the fraud case against SolarWinds is a cybersecurity warning shot,” commenting on the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission’s decision to file fraud charges against software company SolarWinds.
The SEC alleges that the SolarWinds covered up vulnerabilities and overstated its security benefits leading up to the company’s 2020 Sunburst cybersecurity breach.
Commenting on the evidence presented by the SEC in its complaint, Tantleff said, “They knew what their environment was.”
