Lacktman Quoted on Telemedicine Reach and Provider Buy-in
December 30, 2015
Managed Healthcare Executive
Partner Nathaniel Lacktman was quoted in a Managed Healthcare Executive article, “Does Telemedicine Improve Quality, Reduce Costs?” on December 30, 2015. When asked about the potential reach of Telemedicine, Lacktman said that “…using telemedicine doesn’t necessarily mean an all or nothing approach … In chronic cases, in particular, occasional face-to-face visits supplemented with remote health monitoring work well.” In addition, he addressed the issue of telemedicine adoption by providers, noting that “State legislatures are passing laws forcing health plans to cover the services, because the benefit is evident, but managed care is dragging its feet … Health plans aren’t comfortable enough to project costs.”
