Foley & Lardner LLP of counsel Mark Neuberger shared insights on the effect of the ongoing federal government shutdown on small business in The New York Times article, “Shutdown With No Clear End Poses New Economic Threat.”

Neuberger highlighted the disruption caused by the lapse in federal services, particularly for small companies reliant on one or two specialized foreign workers, as the shutdown delays visa processing.

“Even a short shutdown gums up the works for months, and they have to clean up the mess from when they were gone,” Neuberger added.
