Foley's California Growth, Four Partner Additions Garner Widespread Media Coverage
Foley & Lardner LLP’s recent addition of partners Peter Stockburger, Matt Brown, Darby Chanin, and Sanjeet Dutta — exemplifying the firm’s continued strategic growth in California — garnered widespread media coverage.
“They each add different things to our firm, but at the core of it, they all strengthen our position as a firm in the innovative tech and health care and life sciences sectors,” Foley Chairman and CEO Daljit Doogal said of the arriving partners in The American Lawyer article, “Foley & Lardner Adds 4 Partners to California IP, Corporate Departments.”
Describing Foley’s continued investment in California, Doogal said the firm has brought on 17 partners and 43 attorneys across the state in the last two years. “We are a national firm so we invest all over the place, but if you look at our growth in California, a lot of it has been around that innovative tech sector,” he explained. “That’s where a lot of the talent, experience, and a lot of companies reside.”
“All four of them are just fabulous attorneys with different skill sets,” Doogal said of the group, who joined the firm’s Corporate and Intellectual Property Departments in Foley’s San Diego, San Francisco, and Silicon Valley offices. “We are being very intentional about the type of people we’re bringing in to grow,” he continued, adding that the firm anticipates additional arrivals in California in the months to come.
“Individually, they each add bench strength to us, but collectively, working with all the attorneys we have in the region, I think it really helps solidify what we’re doing in California,” Doogal added.
Coverage of Foley’s new arrivals also appeared across Bloomberg Law, Bloomberg Tax, Law360, and Legal News Feed.
