Ed Baxa has significant experience representing owners, general contractors, design professionals, subcontractors, and suppliers in complex commercial litigation with a focus on construction disputes. He is a partner in the firm’s Construction and Litigation Practice Groups where he regularly handles contract drafting and negotiation, bid protests, workouts, claims litigation, and arbitration proceedings. He has significant experience in negotiating the AIA form contracts, and in the preparation/negotiation of Engineering Procurement and Construction (EPC) contracts for manufacturing facilities.
Ed has tried cases involving a myriad of construction projects, including resort hotels, wastewater treatment plants, shopping centers, and residential developments. In addition to his work in the construction industry, he also represents various corporate clients in connection with government and internal investigations. He has considerable experience representing healthcare clients on fraud and abuse issues and in qui tam actions.
