As an associate with Foley, Mike’s practice spans a wide spectrum of software-based domains, encompassing technologies grounded in artificial intelligence and machine learning, image processing, data storage and database management, virtualization, software-as-a-service (SaaS), and electromechanical control systems. He also has significant experience in the robotics, automation, and control domains.
Prior to joining, and in addition to his patent practice, Mike drafted dataset licensing agreements, reviewed technology evaluation agreements, and reviewed IP-related provisions of procurement and secondment agreements. He was involved in prosecuting a worldwide trademark portfolio and provided guidance and direction to marketing teams on trademark best practices. Mike also advised on open-source license compliance.
