Geoffrey Raux is a commercial litigator who represents a variety of clients in the business and health care sectors. His practice concentrates on complex litigation in federal and state courts throughout the country. He has significant trial and arbitration experience, including litigating cases to verdict. He also has appeared frequently before federal and state appellate courts and has secured significant appellate victories.

Geoff has significant experience in health care, regularly representing providers and suppliers in high stakes disputes, including with commercial and government payors. Geoff’s health care strength extends to administrative actions before state and federal regulatory bodies, with a substantial background in Medicare and Medicaid appeals and reimbursement litigation. Geoff also guides health care companies in internal investigations and risk mitigation efforts, and he regularly represents them in connection with government enforcement actions and investigations.

Geoff’s practice also includes commercial disputes in a variety of sectors. He regularly handles complex contractual claims and business torts, in disputes involving licensing issues, private company and shareholder disputes, and securities litigation. Geoff has handled bet-the-company litigations and brings both zealous advocacy and a pragmatic approach to the matters he handles, recognizing and balancing the business considerations that his client’s face.

Geoff served as a military intelligence officer in the United States Army Reserves, assigned to the 8th Brigade, 98th Division, where he was an assistant professor of military science teaching at Northeastern University and Boston College. Geoff was Airborne qualified and held a top-secret security clearance.

Geoff has lectured and published on a variety of areas including research misconduct and False Claims Act implications, key issues arising in commercial contractual disputes, reducing securities exposure in investor announcements and publications, negotiating and drafting clinical trial agreements, navigating payor-provider litigation, and responding to government subpoenas and civil investigative demands.
