Fredericksen Comments on New Charges Against Manafort

Partner Scott Fredericksen, managing partner of Foley’s Washington, D.C. office, was interviewed on the CBS Evening News about Manhattan District Attorney Cyrus Vance’s decision to charge former Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort with 16 counts of mortgage fraud, conspiracy and other state felonies.

Fredericksen said the move appears to be an attempt by Vance “to make sure that Mr. Manafort is prosecuted and perhaps serves prison time even if he is pardoned” for the federal crimes of which he has already been convicted and sentenced.
