U.S. News and World Report
Partner George Beck was quoted in a U.S. News and World Report article published on March 31, 2014, titled “Supreme Court Unlikely to Dissolve Software Patents.” The article examined oral arguments made in the U.S. Supreme Court case, Alice Corporation v. CLS Bank International, about the impact of new limits for the eligibility of software patents on tech companies’ privileges. Beck was quoted saying, “It will be difficult for the court to find the Alice claims patent eligible based on the precedent of its 2010 decision but it will likely show some restraint.”
