Quick Quoted in USA Today on SEC's Blessing to Use Social Media to Share Information

USA Today
Partner Patrick Quick was quoted in the May 28, 2013 edition of USA Today in an article titled, “Companies start spreading the investing news via social media.” The article focused on the Securities and Exchange Commission’s announcement that made social media fair game for companies looking to disseminate financial information and how it might impact investors. Mr. Quick noted in the article that many large investors are not likely to be enthusiastic about companies using social media to share investment updates. Use of social media to disclose new information would force large shareholders to monitor multiple social media outlets to be certain that they see the information, and “most companies won’t do that to their investors,” he said.
