Foley Partner Harold Wegner was quoted in an article titled “Beijing to tighten foreign companies law” in the July 2, 2008 issue of Financial Times. Wegner gave his insight into proposed changes to China’s patent law that will require foreign companies making discoveries in the country to file for a patent in China first, adding that the new law will at first be inconvenient to foreign companies but they will adjust to it.
