noon-1 p.m. CDT

Gardere will be hosting the Association of Corporate Counsel Houston Energy Practice Group CLE program on May 20. Firm Partners Scott D. Ellis, John P. Melko and Rachel Powitzky Steely will present, “The Road Ahead: Oil & Gas Law Issues in Times of Industry Economic Uncertainty,” where they will discuss the rising threat of pay lawsuits in the oil patch, oil and gas metrics, and tips to effectively use mineral liens to protect companies in the volatile energy market. Depressed oil prices have fielded increased litigation, and this presentation will help prepare companies to prosecute and defend their rights.
