Foley Partner and co-chair of the Life Sciences Industry Team Judith Waltz was quoted in an article titled “Observers Disagree on MSIS Data Woes’ Effect on MIC Program” in the October 2009 issue of Medicaid Compliance News. Waltz discusses a recent report that calls the data underpinning the Medicaid Integrity Contractor (MIC) program outdated and unreliable. She remarks that the findings should not be seen as invalidating the MIC audit process, adding that data-mining is the wave of the future and something providers should focus their efforts on.
