Foley Associate Justin Gray was quoted in an article titled “Court ruling unleashes flood of ‘false mark’ patent lawsuits” in the March 1, 2010 issue of the Chicago Tribune. Gray discusses an increase in expired-patent claims spurred by a Federal Court ruling that potentially raises the penalties in patent-marking suits, noting that the claims are easy cases to file because it takes only minutes to determine whether a patent has run out.
