Law360 reported on Relay IP Inc. filing as many as 17 patent infringement lawsuits against companies including Cisco Systems Inc., Spring Nextel Corp., Hewlett-Packard Co. and BT Group PLC for infringement of U.S. Patent Number 5,331,637. This patent is related to Protocol Independent Multicast-Sparse Mode standards for multicast routing.
