Partner Brian Potts was quoted in a Wall Street Journal article published on April 15, 2014, titled “U.S. Appeals Court Upholds EPA Rule on Power Plant Emissions — Update.” The article discusses federal rules, scheduled to take effect in April 2015, that will require the nation’s 600 coal- and oil-fired power plants to comply with emissions limits set by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, which would significantly impact the coal industry, the largest source of mercury emissions in the United States. Potts was quoted saying, “Industry was always facing an uphill battle with this case.”
