Foley CEO Receives Marquette Professional Achievement Award

Foley Chairman and CEO Jay Rothman received Marquette University’s Professional Achievement Award, an honor presented by his alma mater and the Helen Way Klingler College of Arts and Sciences as part of Marquette’s Alumni National Awards Weekend. Rothman was honored for his leadership role at Foley as well as serving as chairman of the board of directors of Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin.

Rothman is a member of the firm’s Management Committee and a former chair of the Transactional & Securities Practice. He has spearheaded several strategic deals, including assisting MAKO Surgical Corp in its acquisition by Stryker Corporation. He represented Quad/Graphics in their acquisition of WorldColor, a transaction that resulted in Quad becoming a public company. Early in his career, Rothman helped establish the Madison-based Alliant Energy Corp. by combining three publicly traded utilities.

In addition, Rothman has been actively involved with the Children’s Hospital and Health System for more than 10 years. He is developing a strategic plan for the system that addresses the evolving health care landscape.
