Partner Judy Waltz was quoted in a Bloomberg BNA article, “Health-Care Watchdog Moves to Monthly HHS Oversight Updates,” covering the previous Health and Human Services annual watchdog and how the new monthly version will increase efficiency.
Waltz said that by the time an issue made it to the annual report, it would have already “become a bigger issue and one that a provider would wish they had looked at sooner.” Waltz continued by explaining that, to implement the new monthly watchdog, physicians and hospitals may need to revisit how they plan their own annual compliance work so they can stay abreast of the now monthly updates.
