Amy Ciepluch has joined Foley & Lardner LLP’s Employee Benefits & Executive Compensation practice as of counsel in the Milwaukee office.
Ciepluch is an experienced attorney whose practice focuses on employee benefits and executive compensation. She handles retirement plans, health and welfare plans and executive compensation programs. She works closely with public companies and large private businesses within various industries, including health care, financial services, manufacturing, technology and retail.
“Amy’s experience across an array of industries will add significant depth to our team,” said Leigh Riley, chair of Foley’s Employee Benefits & Executive Compensation practice. “Her experience designing, drafting and providing legal counsel on a variety of benefit and compensation plans is a strong complement to our practice.”
Ciepluch’s representative experience includes creating and implementing two pension plan derisking programs, designing an equity-incentive plan and deferred-compensation plan for a newly public company and assisting a large private manufacturing company with medical plan strategy and design changes to avoid Affordable Care Act pay or play penalties. She also has experience handling open enrollment, election changes, plan-design changes and vendor errors with health and welfare plans.
“We’re excited to bring Amy on board,” said Linda Benfield, managing partner of Foley’s Milwaukee office. “Her skill set is exactly what businesses in Wisconsin and across the country are looking for in terms of employee benefits legal counsel. Her involvement with organizations on the local level and in her area of expertise makes her a great addition to our firm, and we’re looking forward to working together.”
Ciepluch is a member of the State Bar of Wisconsin, Milwaukee Bar Association, Wisconsin Retirement Plan Professionals, Ltd. and National Association for Stock Plan Professionals. She is also a board member emeritus of the NASPP’s Wisconsin Chapter.
Prior to joining Foley, Ciepluch was a partner at Quarles & Brady LLP where she was chair of the firm’s Employee Benefits & Executive Compensation practice.
