Braza Comments on Match Fixing Fears in Esports

07 August 2018 LawInSport News
Partner Mary K. Braza was quoted in an article in LawInSport, “Match Fixing Remains a Threat to Esports Community,” about fears related to match fixing in the esports industry.

When you consider the amount of money in esports gambling, combined with the ability of one player to make or break a team’s prospects for success, Braza said, match fixing is the elephant in the room. “Looking ahead, match fixing has the potential to negatively impact the popularity of esports if fans get the impression that cheating is widespread or that results are illegitimate,” she said.
