Olivia Singelmann Named a DC Rising Star by The National Law Journal

Foley & Lardner LLP partner Olivia Singelmann has been named a winner of the DC Rising Star award by The National Law Journal as part of their 2023 Legal Awards.

Singelmann is a partner in Foley’s Washington, D.C. office. Her practice includes litigation matters, with a focus on representing clients in government and internal investigations and enforcement proceedings by the Department of Justice, the Securities and Exchange Commission, and the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board. She has experience representing companies and individuals in a broad range of litigation matters before state and federal courts and also counsels clients on anti-bribery and anti-corruption compliance issues.

As a founding member of the firm’s Racial Justice and Equity Practice Group (RJEPG), Singelmann is at the forefront of advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts at the firm and beyond. She helps lead a highly skilled practice group spread across the country that underscores the firm’s commitment to stand up against racial injustice.

In her pro bono work, Singelmann represents clients seeking asylum or other protections in the U.S., with a focus on women and girls fleeing gender-based persecution. She has experience representing clients before both U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services asylum offices and the Executive Office for Immigration Review courts.

Outside of the law, Singelmann maintains an energetic engagement with improving her Washington, D.C. community. A member of the Junior League of Washington (JLW), she is an active volunteer who reads weekly with students at a local elementary school as part of their reading program, prepares and serves meals at N Street Village, and has represented the JLW at various fundraising events devoted to the organization’s causes of voluntarism, empowering the potential of women, and furthering communities through educational, professional development, and financial programming.

Honorees will be recognized at an awards dinner on October 26, 2023 in Washington, D.C.
