Jamil G. Daoud is of counsel and a business attorney practicing with Foley & Lardner LLP in its Estates & Trusts Practice. His practice includes tax, estate and wealth transfer planning, closely-held business planning, asset protection planning, and estate and trust administration. He is board-certified by The Florida Bar in wills, trusts, and estates.
Jamil regularly advises individuals and families regarding appropriate tax, estate planning, and asset protection arrangements to carry out their specific objectives. He provides counsel to corporate and individual fiduciaries regarding all facets of trust and estate administration, including audits with the Internal Revenue Service. He has extensive experience with the specialized needs of closely-held business owners and corporate executives, and has assisted many clients in successfully transferring family businesses from one generation to the next.
Education
Jamil received his LL.M in taxation from the University of Florida Levin College of Law (2007). He earned his law degree from the University of Miami School of Law (J.D. cum laude, 2006). Jamil received his bachelor’s degree, with distinction, from Indiana University (B.S., 2003).
