Ashley A. Gifford



Ashley Gifford is an associate with Foley & Lardner LLP. She is a member of the Business Litigation & Dispute Resolution Practice.

Prior to joining Foley, Ashley worked for the United States Department of Homeland Security as a staffer in the Office of the Deputy Secretary and the Office of the General Counsel – Intelligence Law Division. She also interned in the District Office of Congresswoman Carolyn B. Maloney and for The William J. Clinton Foundation.


Ashley received her law degree from The Fordham University School of Law (J.D., 2017), where she was a staff member for Fordham International Law Journal and the recipient of the Fordham Legal Writing Award, Willem C. Vis International Arbitration Moot, Honorable Mention for Best Memorandum on Behalf of Claimant the Alternative Dispute Resolution Faculty Recognition for Excellence Award, and the Fordham Archibald R. Murray Public Service Award. Additionally, she received a Graduate Certificate in Homeland Security Management from University of Maryland - University College. She earned her undergraduate degree from Wake Forest University (B.A., cum laude, 2010) in history.


Ashley is admitted to practice law in the District of Columbia and Maryland.

Defended an international materials handling company in antiboycott enforcement proceedings brought by the U.S. Department of Commerce's Office of Antiboycott Compliance ("OAC") arising from sales to Middle Eastern countries participating in the Arab League Boycott of Israel.
