Partner Erik Swanholt and associate Alyssa Titche were quoted in the ASI Central article, ‘Navigating the Complexities of Prop 65,’ about the wide-ranging impact of California’s Proposition 65. The article covered their discussion at the ASI Show Chicago about the expanded state safety regulations.
Proposition 65 requires products sold or used in California to carry a warning label if they contain certain chemicals. Websites and catalogs also must display such warninngs or risk consumer lawsuits.
Swanholt and Titche predicted that Proposition 65 will not reduce legal action or bring clarity, but downplayed the notion that he warnings impacat sales given their ubiquity in California.
