The 19th Annual Federal and Wisconsin Employment Law Update: “Big Challenges, Smart Solutions” will take place on Tuesday, January 30, 2007 at the Country Springs Hotel and Conference Center in Waukesha, Wisconsin. Foley attorneys Bud Bobber, Ann Mennell, Dan Kaplan, Dave Froiland and Mark Tilkens will conduct all the sessions, along with The Management Association, Inc. (MRA). Bud Bobber will also present the keynote address on the important employment law updates from 2006.
Attendees will learn about the latest employment-related legal developments and learn how to comply with ever-changing laws and regulations. Topics include:
- Accommodating disabilities under the ADA/WFEA.
- E-mail use and management including new federal rules relating to electronic discovery.
- Employers’ obligations to returning vets under Wisconsin law and federal USERRA.
- Workplace issues raised by the resulting language and cultural differences, including religious accommodation and discrimination, use of English-only rules, legal requirements to translate documents, and dealing with different views and expectations.
